July

Here August is already half over and I am once again just getting to the blog. I did try to update it a couple of times. One night I forgot the SD card, another night I forgot the computer, tonight I finally got it all together.
The 4th of July is always a big party at our house.  Mia always gets a new patriotic outfit for the 4th.
Big breakfast with Monty's family.  This year my mom was in town and got to go with us.
Roller skating, pop its and streamers launchers with cousins.
Mia loves riding on the 4 wheeler with her cousins.

They got out the pool but we hadn't brought Mia's swim suit, instead she wore some of Nana's "Swimming PJs"
Monty tried out the little 4 wheeler.
 Time for fireworks.
Monty put on quite a show this year.
My dad got there the day after and we all went to cousin Dixon's baby blessing.  Before church Mia played  on Grandma's new tablet with Grandpa.
We went camping in July and had a great time.
Mia loved playing in the rocks, gathering firewood, and just getting dirty.
She tucked her little chair in the trees so "she could relax" (her words)
There was a creek by the campground that Monty and Mia put their feet in.  Mia asked if next time when we go camping if she can bring her swimsuit...probably a good idea.
Mia's been begging to try her bike with just 2 wheels.  I finally caved and we took her training wheels off.
She did ok-ish. She couldn't start, stop, or turn without falling over.  After working on it for a couple weeks she decided she wants to wait til she's 5 to ride on 2 wheels.  Fine by me, it's hard work chasing her up and down the sidewalk when she doesn't pay attention to where she's going.
Playing in the basement with her babies.
Mia loves making videos and then watching them.

We've continued our weekly trips to Cherry Hill and on July 24th Monty got to go with us.  That means we had an extra person to take some pictures.
Mia and Mom on Cardiac Canyon
Mia got away and went down by herself.
Trying to catch up to Dad on Cardiac Canyon
They caught up to each other before making it to the bottom.

July 24th is also Monty's dad's birthday.  We usually have a big party with him on the 24th.  This year we did it a couple days late.  There was the pool (we remembered her swimsuit this time).
 Running through the sprinklers.
 And the inevitable water fight.
We have also done the free weekly movies at the local theater. Since the movie is free of course you have to buy popcorn and sodas.  It's been a nice cool activity.  We've also been hitting up some of the local parks on the days it's not boiling hot outside.  That's about how our summer is going so far!
